Anchorage, AK – Pedestrian Fatality on West Northern Lights Blvd

Anchorage, AK (September 23, 2024) – A tragic incident occurred on Saturday evening when a woman was struck and killed while crossing West Northern Lights Boulevard. The accident took place at approximately 7:30 p.m., about 500 feet west of the crosswalk at Minnesota Drive.

According to the Anchorage Police Department, the woman was traversing the westbound lanes of the boulevard when she was hit by a westbound SUV. Emergency medical personnel arrived on the scene, but unfortunately, the woman was pronounced dead shortly thereafter.

The driver of the SUV remained at the scene and is cooperating with the ongoing investigation. As of now, no charges have been filed against the driver.
