Moniteau, MO (October 18, 2024) – A serious vehicle collision occurred on MO 87, approximately 612 feet north of Shalom Drive, on Friday afternoon. At around 2:42 p.m., emergency responders were dispatched to the scene following reports of the accident involving a motorcycle and a Subaru.

Preliminary investigations indicate that a 2015 BMW S1000R motorcycle, driven by 20-year-old Alexander Lusher from Eldon, was traveling southbound when it crossed the center line and collided with a northbound 2018 Subaru Outback driven by 72-year-old Gloria Moody from California, MO. The impact was significant, resulting in extensive damage to both vehicles, with the motorcycle being declared a total loss.

Emergency responders arrived promptly to assess the situation and provide medical assistance. Alexander Lusher sustained serious injuries and was transported by MU Air Care to University Hospital in Columbia for further evaluation and treatment.
