Ashburn, GA – Fatal Crash Involving Multiple Vehicles on I-75

Ashburn, GA (October 14, 2024) – The Ashburn Department of Public Safety is currently investigating a tragic early morning crash that occurred on Interstate 75 in Turner County. The incident was reported around 12:12 AM at the 82.5-mile marker on the southbound side of the highway.

According to a Facebook post from the Ashburn Department of Public Safety, officers were dispatched to the scene following reports of a collision involving three vehicles: two semi-trucks and a black Chevrolet Avalanche. The agency received assistance from the Turner County Sheriff’s Office, Turner County Fire and Emergency Management Agency, and Turner County Medical Services.

Upon arrival, emergency responders discovered that the crash resulted in a fatality. Initial investigations revealed that the cause of the accident involved a vehicle traveling north in the southbound lanes, leading to the collision with the other vehicles.
