Atlanta, GA – 2 Killed, 1 Injured in Delta Plane Accident at TechOps Facility

Atlanta, GA (August 27, 2024) – Two individuals lost their lives, and another was injured in an accident involving a Delta airplane at a maintenance facility near Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. The incident occurred at 5 a.m. at a Delta TechOps hangar.

A plane tire exploded during a tire change, killing a Delta worker and a contractor. A second Delta employee sustained serious injuries. Delta expressed deep sorrow over the tragedy and is supporting affected families. Further details will be provided as the investigation continues.
