Florence, AL – Fatal Two-Vehicle Accident on U.S. 72 near Little Elk Rd

Florence, AL (August 3, 2024) – A two-vehicle crash in Limestone County killed a Florence man on Thursday, August 1 afternoon. The accident occurred around 5:44 p.m. on U.S. 72, close to Little Elk Rd, two miles east of Rogersville. 

Sidney T. Hamilton, 19, was riding a 2023 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R when he collided with a 2019 Honda CR-V driven by Terry L. Albright, 63, of Nanty Glo, Penn. Hamilton was ejected from his motorcycle and pronounced dead at the scene. Albright sustained injuries and was taken to Athens Limestone Hospital. 

The ALEA Highway Patrol Division is still investigating the crash.
