Elba, NY (September 6, 2024) – The Genesee County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a rollover crash involving a car and an ambulance on Thursday. At the intersection of Rte 98 and Batavia-Elba Townline Rd. Authorities say the car’s driver failed to yield the right of way. Leading to a collision that caused the ambulance to roll onto its roof.
The car’s passenger was airlifted, and both the driver and passenger were taken to Erie County Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. The ambulance’s patient was also transported to ECMC, while the EMS crew remained unharmed.
The investigation is ongoing, and no charges have been announced yet. Further details are expected as the inquiry continues.
