Altavista, VA – Motorcyclist Injured in Crash on Rte 29 near Bedford Hwy

Altavista, VA (August 02, 2024) – A motorcyclist is recovering from injuries sustained in a crash earlier this week on Route 29 in Altavista. On Wednesday, evening July 31 afternoon, Altavista Fire Company responded to the scene of a motorcycle crash on northbound Route 29, just before the Bedford Highway exit.

The motorcyclist was found down an embankment after striking a tree. The patient was in stable condition and transported to an area hospital for treatment of their injuries.

Virginia State Police are investigating the cause of the accident. More information is expected as the investigation continues.
