Columbus, OH – Pedestrian Fatality in Hit-and-Run on Sullivant Ave

Columbus, OH (August 4, 2024) – A tragic incident claimed the life of an unidentified pedestrian in a hit-and-run accident on Sullivant Avenue, Hilltop, at around 5:15 PM on Saturday. The victim was crossing the street between Atlanta Drive and Dixie Court when a Honda Pilot struck them while traveling east in the left lane. After the initial collision, the injured pedestrian was hit again by a Jeep Cherokee in the right lane, which remained at the scene. The Honda Pilot fled eastward. Columbus Police reported that the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the site of the accident. The investigation into the fatal incident and the search for the fleeing driver continue, with authorities urging witnesses to come forward with any information.
