Houston County, AL – Three Injured in Two-Vehicle Accident on Hwy 231 at The Crossing

Houston County, AL (August 5, 2024) – A two-vehicle accident occurred at 2:17 PM on Highway 231 South, at the entrance to The Crossing. Houston County 911 dispatched emergency services, reporting possible injuries. Kinsey Police Chief Jim Mock, off duty, was the first to arrive and reported one patient bleeding from the head and another with chest pains. Madrid Volunteer Fire units confirmed three patients on the scene.

Rehobeth Fire-Rescue arrived shortly after, transporting patients to Dothan hospital by 3:01 PM. ALEA Troopers are investigating the accident, with Houston County Sheriff Sgt. Austin Nowell on the scene.
