Boston, MA (August 6, 2024) – Three individuals were hospitalized following a boat collision near the former Long Island Bridge site on Tuesday morning, August 6. The incident, reported around 10:15 a.m., involved a 25-foot boat crashing into bridge pilings, according to Officer Michael Torigian of the Boston Police Harbor Unit.
Upon arrival, police transported the trio ashore, where they received medical attention for non-life-threatening injuries. Although the Long Island Bridge has been dismantled, remnants like the pilings remain hazardous.
