Jefferson, MO – Injury in Bicycle Collision on Miller RD at Mareda LN

Jefferson, MO (August 7, 2024) – Ariana L. Young, 20, from Arnold, MO, sustained moderate injuries in a bicycle collision on Tuesday, August 6. The incident occurred at the intersection of Miller Road and Mareda Lane when Young failed to stop and entered the roadway, colliding with a northbound 2019 Honda Accord driven by Jennifer N. Diesel.

Diesel attempted to brake but struck Young. Subsequently, a southbound 2006 Ford Fusion, driven by Shelby N. Black, also made contact with the bicycle. Both vehicles incurred minor damage but were driven from the scene. Young was transported to Mercy Hospital South for treatment.

Authorities are investigating the collision and expect to release more information as the inquiry continues.
