Dinwiddie, VA – Van Rollover with Injuries on I-85 Near Rte 460

Dinwiddie, VA (August 9, 2024) – A passenger van crashed and overturned on I-85 near Rte 460 on Thursday, August 8. Virginia State Police reported that the van ran off the road around 4:30 p.m., overcorrected, and overturned.

There were 13 occupants in the vehicle; nine were taken to the hospital, with one person sustaining serious injuries. Fortunately, none of the injuries are life-threatening. All southbound lanes near the 59.4-mile marker were initially closed but reopened by 9 p.m. Thursday. Authorities have confirmed that weather was not a factor in the crash.
