Spanish Fork, UT – Injuries Reported in Bus and Garbage Truck Crash at 630 W and 400 N

Spanish Fork, UT (August 9, 2024) – Several student-athletes from Southern Utah suffered minor injuries after their bus collided head-on with a garbage truck on Thursday, August 8, at around 3 p.m. The crash occurred at the intersection of 630 W and 400 N as the bus, carrying a girls’ soccer team, attempted to turn toward Spanish Fork High School.

Three students were transported to local hospitals with minor injuries. The garbage truck driver was injured but did not require hospitalization.

Local residents, including nurse Jessica Andersen, provided immediate assistance to the injured. First responders and citizens quickly intervened. Authorities are investigating the crash and will provide further updates as more information becomes available.
