Indianapolis, IN (August 12, 2024) – A four-day-old infant was hospitalized after a fire erupted at the Spinnaker Court Apartments in Indianapolis on Saturday afternoon. The Wayne Township Fire Department responded to the blaze around 2:40 p.m., which affected four units.
Upon arrival, responders found the infant with guardians outside the complex, quickly transporting the child to the hospital. Although not believed to have sustained life-threatening injuries, the infant’s exposure to smoke prompted medical evaluation. Displaced residents are being assisted by the complex’s management.
