Hillsborough County, FL – Fatal Motorcycle Crash on US-301 North of Dead River Rd

Hillsborough County, FL (August 12, 2024) – A tragic motorcycle accident claimed the life of a 24-year-old Wesley Chapel man Sunday evening. The incident occurred around 6:30 PM on US-301, just north of Dead River Road.

The rider navigated northbound on a Kawasaki Ninja in wet conditions when he attempted to pass other vehicles, lost control, and overturned. The motorcycle subsequently struck a roadside sign, causing fatal injuries to the rider.

The Florida Highway Patrol continues to investigate the crash; updates will be provided as more details are uncovered.
