Buckeye, AZ – Semi-Truck Crash on SR-85 Near I-10 Results in Injuries

Buckeye, AZ (August 12, 2024)—A semi-truck collision on State Route 85 close to Interstate 10 led to injuries and significant traffic delays Sunday afternoon, August 11. According to the Buckeye Fire Medical Rescue Department, two individuals were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries following the incident.

The crash caused extensive damage to a concrete median barrier, which the truck appeared to have breached. Hazmat units were dispatched due to diesel fuel leakage from the damaged vehicle.

Traffic accumulated as emergency teams cleared the wreckage. The Arizona Department of Transportation is now leading the investigation to determine the crash’s cause, with further updates anticipated as the inquiry progresses.
