Louisville, KY (August 13, 2024) – A fatal collision on Monday, August 12, involving a semi-truck and a pickup truck resulted in the death of the pickup driver. The incident occurred around 4:50 p.m. on Interstate 64 W, near the Gene Snyder, causing a chain reaction that damaged five vehicles.
The semi-truck driver was unharmed. Two others involved were transported to UofL Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Louisville Metro Police closed the westbound lanes, using the far left emergency lane to redirect traffic. No other injuries were reported.
