Sarasota, FL – Multi-Car Accident on I-75 NB Near Bee Ridge Rd Results in Injuries

Sarasota, FL (August 14, 2024) – A multi-car accident on northbound Interstate 75 at mile marker 207, near Bee Ridge Road, occurred Tuesday afternoon, August 13, around 3:47 p.m. The Sarasota County Fire Department and Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene. The exact number of injuries has not been disclosed yet.

This year, Sarasota County has experienced 4,142 crashes with 37 fatalities and 2,509 injuries. Neighboring Manatee County has reported 3,840 crashes, resulting in 32 deaths and 2,765 injuries. The left and center lanes are blocked, with only two lanes open. Authorities are advising drivers to avoid the area.
