Bakersfield, CA – Injuries in Car and Semi-Truck Accident on NB SR99 near SR223

Bakersfield, CA (August 14, 2024) – A car and semi-truck accident on Wednesday, August 14, resulted in injuries on NB SR99 just south of SR223. The crash, which occurred around 5:59 a.m., involved a black Toyota Prius and a white semi-truck. The Toyota became lodged under the rear of the semi-truck’s trailer.

Emergency responders arrived quickly, and the driver of the Toyota was seen walking around the scene. Fire crews were requested to assist in cutting the vehicle free from the semi.

Authorities are investigating the circumstances of the accident and are expected to provide updates as more information becomes available.
