Holland, MI – Boat Crash at South Pier Injures Two

Holland, MI (August 15, 2024) – A serious boat crash occurred Wednesday night near Holland’s South Pier, injuring an 18-year-old woman and a 69-year-old man. Around 10:16 p.m., the boat, driven by the man, struck the pier 75 yards east of the lighthouse. The impact ejected the young woman into nearby water and rocks.

She was swiftly rescued by another passenger and hospitalized, expected to recover. The driver’s condition remains undisclosed. Two other passengers, aged 19 and 22, were unharmed.
