New Market Twp, MN – Motorcyclist Fatally Injured in Collision on I-35 at County Rd 29

New Market Twp, MN (August 17, 2024) – A fatal collision occurred on Interstate 35 involving a Suzuki motorcycle and a Toyota RAV4. The motorcyclist, Cooper Russell Bertram, 20, from Elko, rear-ended the Toyota while speeding and lane splitting. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Toyota, driven by Bashu Dev Khanal, 43, veered into the right ditch. Both Khanal and passenger Gagandeep Singh, 24, sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The incident remains under investigation as authorities review the circumstances surrounding the crash.
