Santa Clarita, CA – One Killed, One Injured in Semi-Truck Crash on I-5

Santa Clarita, CA (August 18, 2024) – A man was killed and another injured early Friday morning in a two-car crash involving a semi-truck on I-5. The accident occurred around 6:30 a.m. on the northbound lanes near Calgrove Blvd. The California Highway Patrol reports that the conditions of the crash remain unclear.

Firefighters transported one victim to a nearby hospital; their condition is unknown. The deceased, identified as 24-year-old Roberto Flores by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner, was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators are still looking into the details of the crash.
