North Hollywood, CA – Motorcyclist Killed in Crash on 170 Freeway Near Sherman Way

North Hollywood, CA (August 18, 2024) – A motorcyclist was killed late Friday evening in a crash on the 170 Freeway. The collision occurred just before midnight on the northbound lanes near Sherman Way. The California Highway Patrol reports that officers arrived to find the motorcyclist, identified as 29-year-old Labrin Gomez, lying on the freeway.

She was pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation temporarily closed three lanes of the freeway on Saturday, but all lanes have since reopened. Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the crash.
