Black Canyon City, AZ – Injuries in Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-17

Black Canyon City, AZ (August 19, 2024) – A multi-vehicle accident on I-17 near Black Canyon City led to  injuries and significant traffic delays on Sunday, August 18. The crash occurred around 12:20 p.m. and involved four vehicles.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety reported that the collision blocked parts of the southbound lanes, causing a 10-mile traffic backup. Delayed by the traffic jam, Tow trucks arrived at the scene hours later. The backup worsened to 20 miles by 1:45 p.m.
