Taneytown, MD – Motorcyclist Injured in Collision with Vehicle on Francis Scott Key Hwy

Taneytown, MD (August 20, 2024) – A motor vehicle collision occurred early on Monday, August 20, at 4:33 a.m. Deputies found a 55-year-old man unresponsive in the northbound lane of Francis Scott Key Hwy, just south of Kump Station Rd. He was involved in a crash between a 2019 black Infinity QX60 and a 2022 yellow Harley Davidson motorcycle.

The Infinity, traveling southbound, crossed into the northbound lane and struck the motorcycle. The Infinity then left the roadway and came to rest near the northbound shoulder.

Authorities are investigating the incident. Further details will be provided as the inquiry progresses.
