Jacksonville, FL (August 22, 2024) – A motorcyclist died in a multi-vehicle collision on Arlington Expressway on Wednesday. The crash occurred just before 6 p.m. A 35-year-old woman was speeding west on Arlington Expy when her motorcycle failed to slow down on a curve.
She collided with a pickup truck in the right lane. The impact sent the motorcycle into a concrete median barrier, causing it to crash into eastbound lanes. The motorcycle then struck an SUV and a sedan. The motorcyclist died at the scene.
No other injuries were reported. Authorities are investigating the circumstances of the crash and will provide updates as more information becomes available.
