Hodgesville, WV (August 22, 2024) – Two students were injured Tuesday morning when a vehicle struck them while they were waiting for their bus. The incident happened on Ravenswood Rd in Upshur County. The bus was stopped with its red lights flashing and stop arm extended.
According to Upshur County Superintendent of Schools Christy Miller, the car illegally passed the bus and hit the students. They were examined and released from St. Joseph’s Hospital by noon.
West Virginia State Police are investigating the incident. Further details will be provided as the inquiry into the cause of the incident progresses.
