Monroe County, GA – Crash on Hwy 87 Results in Injuries

Monroe County, GA (August 26, 2024) – A tragic motorcycle crash occurred on Saturday evening, leaving one person dead and another critically injured. The incident happened around 6:10 p.m. on Hwy 87. Monroe County Sheriff’s Office reports that a pickup truck was turning into a driveway when a motorcycle attempted to pass.

The motorcycle passenger died at the scene, while the driver was rushed to a Macon hospital in critical condition. Authorities have not released the names of those involved. The investigation into the accident is ongoing.
