Bluffton, SC – Fatal Motorcycle Collision on Hwy 170 Near Lawton Blvd

Bluffton, SC (August 29, 2024) – A crash between a motorcyclist and an SUV resulted in the death of Noah Smith, 23, on Tuesday morning. The accident occurred around 7:15 a.m. on Hwy 170 near Lawton Blvd. Bluffton Police reported that Smith, a Hardeeville resident, died at the scene, while the SUV’s driver and passenger were unharmed.

The Bluffton Police Department’s Accident Reconstruction Team is investigating the cause and contributing factors of the collision. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding this tragic incident.
