Hardee County, FL – Fatal Motorcycle Accident on U.S. Hwy 17 Near Sterner Rd

Hardee County, FL (September 2, 2024) – A motorcyclist died on Saturday, September 2, after crashing into a pickup truck in Hardee County. The Florida Highway Patrol reported the accident occurred around 8:34 a.m. on U.S. Hwy 17, south of Sterner Rd. The 40-year-old Arcadia man was riding behind a pickup truck driven by a 53-year-old from Zolfo Springs when he collided with the back of the truck.

The collision ejected the motorcyclist from his bike. Emergency responders transported him to Lakeland Regional Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the pickup truck was unharmed.
