Waynesboro, GA – Fatal Collision on Hwy 25 S at Coleman Young Rd

Waynesboro, GA (September 4, 2024) – Raymond Brookins, 87, of Waynesboro, died in a crash Tuesday afternoon on Hwy 25 S at Coleman Young Rd. At about 4:04 p.m., Brookins was crossing Hwy 25 S when another vehicle, driven by Ralph Reynolds, 65, of Blairsville, struck his car.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene but could not save Brookins. Reynolds was unharmed. Authorities briefly closed Hwy 25 S for the investigation. The investigation is ongoing, and more details will be released as they become available.
