Monroe County, GA – Collision at Thornton Rd Results in Injuries

Monroe County, GA (September 4, 2024) – Patricia Davis, a crossing guard, was injured in a truck collision Wednesday morning outside TG Scott Elementary School. At around 7:30 a.m., a truck’s right bumper struck Davis as she directed traffic on Thornton Rd.

The truck driver reported that the sun blinded him, preventing him from seeing Davis until impact. Davis was transported to a hospital in Macon with non-life-threatening injuries and is currently being evaluated. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances of the accident.
