Mercer Island, WA – Fatal Motorcycle Accident on WB I-90 Involving UPS Truck

Mercer Island, WA (September 6, 2024) – A fatal accident occurred on westbound I-90 on Friday, September 6, involving a motorcycle and a UPS truck. According to the Washington State Patrol, the motorcyclist was speeding when they collided with the back of the truck.

The crash led to the closure of all westbound lanes for several hours, with traffic diverted to Island Crest Way. Trooper Rick Johnson confirmed that the motorcyclist died at the scene.
