Billings, MT (September 10, 2024) – A motorcyclist was tragically killed Monday night, September 9, after being struck by a pickup truck fleeing a Yellowstone County sheriff’s deputy. The crash occurred around 8:45 p.m. at the intersection of 4th Ave N and N 20th St, according to Billings police.
The pickup, heading north on N 20th St, crossed 4th Ave N before hitting the motorcyclist. The driver fled the scene on foot but was arrested a few blocks away. Authorities have not yet identified the motorcyclist or the driver.
The Billings Police Department’s crash team is investigating the incident. Further details will be provided as the inquiry progresses.
