Amarillo, TX – Fatal Motorcycle Collision at Soncy RD & W. Amarillo BLVD

Amarillo, TX (September 12, 2024) – A tragic collision between a motorcycle and an SUV at the intersection of Soncy RD and W. Amarillo BLVD resulted in the death of a motorcyclist and minor injuries to an SUV passenger. The incident occurred around 10:30 a.m. Tuesday when Andrew Spring, 28, riding north on Soncy, collided with a Mazda 9 turning east onto W. Amarillo BLVD.

Spring was ejected and later succumbed to his injuries at a local hospital. An autopsy has been ordered, and the Amarillo Police Department’s Traffic Investigation Squad is investigating the crash.
