Texas, MO – Serious Injuries in Motorcycle Crash at Hwy 17 and Hwy AW

Texas, MO (September 12, 2024) – A motorcycle accident at the intersection of Highway 17 and Highway AW on Wednesday left one man with serious injuries. The crash occurred when a 2016 Ford F150, driven by 61-year-old Lance E. Asher of Plato, made a left turn into the path of a 1997 Harley Davidson Fatboy, ridden by 62-year-old Vincent D. Carlton, also of Plato.

Carlton’s motorcycle slid on its side, ejecting him from the vehicle. He sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to Cox South Hospital in Springfield, MO. Asher was unharmed and drove away from the scene.

Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances of the crash and will provide updates as more information becomes available.
