Castle Rock, WA – Injury Rollover Accident on I-5 NB near MP 51

Castle Rock, WA (September 19, 2024) – A motor vehicle rollover accident occurred on I-5 northbound at milepost 51. Involving a pickup truck and travel trailer. The incident happened Thursday evening, blocking Lane 3 northbound and affecting southbound lanes.

At 8:42 p.m., occupants were reported trapped but conscious and alert. By 9:05 p.m. They had been extricated, and one person was transported to the hospital with trauma injuries.

Debris from the disintegrated trailer littered both sides of the highway, requiring an excavator for cleanup. Lane closures continued in both directions to facilitate recovery efforts.
