Kansas City, MO – Fatal Head-On Collision on U.S. Highway 50

Kansas City, MO (September 21, 2024) – A tragic head-on collision occurred on Friday night, September 20, resulting in one fatality and serious injuries to another individual. The accident took place on U.S. Highway 50 in Johnson County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) crash report, 45-year-old Peter Goss from Mission Hills was driving a Chevrolet Suburban eastbound on U.S. Highway 50 when he began traveling in the opposite lanes of traffic. This maneuver led to a head-on collision with a Subaru Legacy, operated by 65-year-old Kevin Wilson from Lee’s Summit.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene, but unfortunately, the Johnson County Coroner pronounced Kevin Wilson dead at 12:14 a.m. Peter Goss sustained serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment.
