Callaway, MO (October 7, 2024) – A traffic accident occurred on October 6, 2024, at approximately 3:25 PM on Route WW, just west of Millersburg. Emergency responders from Callaway County were dispatched to the scene following reports of a collision involving a motorcycle and an SUV.

According to preliminary reports, a 2022 Harley Davidson Road Glide, operated by 51-year-old Michel T. Thuli from Portland, MO, was traveling eastbound when he failed to negotiate a sharp curve. This miscalculation caused the motorcycle to cross the center of the roadway, resulting in a collision with a westbound 2020 Honda Pilot driven by 32-year-old Kayla A. Garwood from Fulton, MO. Both vehicles sustained moderate damage and were subsequently towed from the scene by local towing services.

Michel T. Thuli sustained serious injuries in the accident and was transported by Callaway County EMS to University Hospital for medical evaluation and treatment. Kayla A. Garwood was reported to be wearing a safety device at the time of the incident, and no injuries were reported for her.
