Madison, NE – Rollover Crash Results in One Fatality and Two Injuries on Highway 32

Madison, NE (October 7, 2024) – A tragic rollover accident occurred on Sunday morning, October 6 resulting in the death of a 68-year-old man and injuries to two other individuals. The Madison County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene of the single-vehicle crash on Highway 32, approximately six miles west of Madison, at around 11:25 AM.

Upon arrival, deputies determined that an SUV was traveling east on Highway 32 when it veered off the roadway. The driver overcorrected, causing the vehicle to overturn multiple times and come to rest in a nearby field.

A male passenger, identified as Pha Cen of Madison, was ejected from the vehicle during the rollover. He was transported by rescue personnel to Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk, where he was pronounced dead. It is believed that Cen was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident, and his next of kin have been notified.

The driver of the SUV was extricated from the vehicle and airlifted to Nebraska Medicine in Omaha via LifeNet helicopter, where he is being treated for life-threatening injuries. Another passenger was taken to Faith Regional for non-life-threatening injuries.

The Madison County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by Madison Fire and Rescue, Battle Creek Fire and Rescue, Stanton County Emergency Management, and LifeNet.
