Enid, OK (October 11, 2024) – A motorcycle accident occurred resulting in serious injuries to a 48-year-old Enid man. The incident took place on the evening of Wednesday, October 9, prompting a response from local emergency services.

According to an Enid Police Department accident report, Chris Mitchamore was riding a 2022 Harley-Davidson motorcycle northbound on Washington Street when he failed to navigate the curve at the intersection with Chestnut Street. As a result, he struck the curb, causing his motorcycle to spin and slide across the roadway. The motorcycle ultimately came to rest on the west side of Washington, facing south.

During the accident, Mitchamore was ejected from the motorcycle. Emergency responders transported him to St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center and subsequently to St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa due to incapacitating injuries, including head, trunk, arm, and leg injuries. At the time of the accident, his condition was noted to have an odor of alcoholic beverages.

Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash to determine the contributing factors. Our thoughts are with Chris Mitchamore as he recovers from his injuries.
