Eubank, KY – Motorcycle Crash on US 27 Results in Fatality and Serious Injuries

Eubank, KY (October 14, 2024) – A tragic accident occurred on Saturday night, October 12 resulting in the death of a motorcycle driver and serious injuries to a passenger. According to the Kentucky State Police Department (KSP), the incident took place around 8 p.m. on US 27 near Floyd Switch Estesburg Road.

Initial investigations revealed that 63-year-old Larry Stull of Eubank was traveling north on US 27 in a tan 2015 Nissan Altima when he allegedly rear-ended a 2005 Kawasaki motorcycle driven by 63-year-old Chester Dick of Somerset. The collision caused both Dick and his passenger to be ejected from the motorcycle.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene, but unfortunately, Chester Dick was pronounced dead at the scene by the Pulaski County Coroner’s Office. The passenger was transported to Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital for treatment of serious physical injuries.

Authorities have indicated that alcohol is believed to be a contributing factor in the crash. Following the incident, Larry Stull was arrested and charged with murder and driving under the influence with a suspended license—first offense. He was lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center.
