Bartlett, IL (October 19, 2024) – A serious accident occurred outside Bartlett High School on Friday afternoon, involving two students who were struck by a school bus. At approximately 3:20 p.m., Bartlett police responded to the scene located at 701 Schick Road.

According to police reports, the students, a boy and a girl, were running alongside a school bus as it was pulling into the bus lane when they fell and were subsequently struck by the vehicle. Fire officials indicated that the boy suffered injuries to his arm, which was run over, and he was transported to St. Alexius Hospital, where he is reported to be in good condition. However, the girl sustained more severe injuries, having been run over in the pelvic area. She was initially taken to Central DuPage Hospital and later airlifted to Loyola Medical Center in Maywood, where her condition is critical and her injuries are considered life-threatening.
