Wichita, KS (October 20, 2024) – A serious two-vehicle crash occurred in Cowley County early Friday morning, resulting in multiple injuries. At approximately 5:30 a.m. on October 18, deputies from the Cowley County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the scene of the accident in the 2000 block of Kansas Highway 15.

Preliminary investigations revealed that a Toyota Sienna was stationary in the southbound lane of the highway without its lights on when a pickup truck collided with the rear of the vehicle. The impact of the crash led to significant injuries for the three occupants of the Sienna, all of whom were transported to a Wichita hospital for medical treatment. At least one individual is reported to be suffering from critical injuries. The driver of the pickup truck declined EMS services and remained at the scene.
