Abbeville, AL – Four Injured in Head-On Pursuit Accident on Hwy 431

Abbeville, AL (August 30, 2024) – A high-speed pursuit led to a head-on accident on Highway 431 near mile marker 45 on Friday, August 30. Abbeville Police attempted to stop a red car with Coffee County plates when the driver became disorderly and fled. The suspect drove north in the southbound lane, colliding with a Chevrolet Suburban.

The crash caused major damage and resulted in four injuries, including one critical. Abbeville Rescue and Headland Ambulance transported the injured to a hospital in Dothan.

Authorities, including Henry County Sheriff’s Deputies and ALEA Troopers, are investigating the incident. More information is expected as the investigation continues.
