Aiea, HI – Motorcyclist Injured in Hit-and-Run on H-1 East Freeway

Aiea, HI (September 3, 2024) – A hit-and-run crash on the H-1 East Freeway early Sunday morning involved five vehicles. The incident started around 12:30 a.m.

A 19-year-old motorcyclist collided with a 23-year-old motorcyclist, causing both to fall onto the road. A 20-year-old driver stopped to assist, but another vehicle struck the 19-year-old motorcyclist and his bike. This collision also affected the car that had stopped to help. The 19-year-old motorcyclist was taken to the hospital in serious condition. The 23-year-old motorcyclist and a 20-year-old female passenger were hospitalized but in good condition. The driver who stopped and his passengers were unharmed. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the cause of the crash.
