Allensville, KY – Serious Collision on US 79 Causes Injury

Allensville, KY (August 01, 2024) – The Todd County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a serious crash that resulted in the death of Edwin Chaparro, 29, from Clarksville, TN, on Thursday, morning August 01.

The incident occurred when a southbound tractor-trailer on US 79, hauling rolls of aluminum, lost one of its rolls. The roll collided with Chaparro’s northbound car, causing the fatal accident.

The Todd County Coroner’s Office pronounced Chaparro dead at the scene.

Authorities are investigating the circumstances of the crash and are expected to provide updates as more information becomes available.
