
Annapolis, MD (August 29, 2024) – A motorcyclist was killed early Wednesday morning in a crash on eastbound U.S. Route 50 in Annapolis. Maryland State Police reported the accident occurred when a car changing lanes struck the motorcyclist near the Rowe Blvd exit. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
The car’s driver was transported to a hospital, but their condition has not been reported. Authorities closed all three eastbound lanes and the left shoulder, diverting traffic onto Maryland Route 450. All lanes reopened by 7:50 a.m., while westbound lanes stayed open.
Anne Arundel County Public Schools warned of significant bus delays due to the crash. Authorities are investigating the incident and will provide updates as more information becomes available.
