Baker County, FL – Fatal Van Accident on Interstate 10

Baker County, FL (October 22, 2024) – A tragic accident occurred early Tuesday morning when a van overturned on Interstate 10, resulting in the deaths of both the driver and a passenger. The incident was reported at approximately 1:02 a.m. and is currently under investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol.

Preliminary evidence indicates that a 65-year-old man from Ormond Beach was driving the van eastbound on I-10 when he veered off the road. After briefly regaining control, he overcorrected, causing the vehicle to leave the interstate a second time. The van ultimately overturned, and its left front side collided with a tree.
