Beaumont, TX – Fatal Multi-Vehicle Crash at I-10 W and College St

Beaumont, TX (August 3, 2024) – A tragic multi-vehicle collision on I-10 westbound near College St exit resulted in one fatality and multiple injuries on Friday, August 2. Elijah Ozuna, 35, from Houston, died following a crash involving his silver Chevy Malibu and an 18-wheeler around 5:00 p.m. An autopsy has been ordered for Ozuna, while two passengers were hospitalized.

Beaumont police report that Ozuna was speeding, clipped another car, then struck the 18-wheeler. A third vehicle was sideswiped without injuries. Traffic was redirected to the feeder road as emergency crews responded. The investigation is currently ongoing, with more details expected as they become available.
